Scanning the list and it's the same old problem every time, these 'please read topic' entries are just a total black box. They're using it as a placeholder so they don't have to list the actual prize pool and terms upfront, which means the real total is probably buried on page three of the thread or tied to some unattainable participation goal.

I've seen this playbook before. The Groupbuy Solo Mining one is a classic example -'please read topic' means your entry fee is functionally a donation unless they miraculously fill all slots.

It's deliberately opaque, which is a massive red flag for any contest worth entering. I'd prefer an empty field over a misleading link that demands extra detective work. If the core specs aren't in the main post, the odds are garbage or there's a catch in the fine print every single time.

I just filter for the contests with clear numbers now; the rest aren't worth the time to even investigate.
