The Happiness Hypothesis by Jonathan Haidth talks about many different philosophical approaches regarding happiness. It’s very insightful and opens up our mind. Some say they like also The Righteous Mind by the same author which talks about morality.

"Before mixing" is a bit imprecise since there are multiple phases in a coinjoin round. After all users are finished registering their inputs, each client uses the list of input values present in the round for calculating the output values other clients are likely to choose, and then attempts to match them.

I skipped the "low balance" warning and turned on coinjoin with only 100k sats in my wallet. From that 100k sat total, my client selected a single 10,000 sat input and created a single output for 8,192 sats, paying an effective fee of ~18% to gain 11 anon score.

So yes, on the extreme low end of values, the relative cost becomes huge.

You can ignore the legal aspect, but that still leaves you with the moral risk of hosting and distributing child p**n and other filth on your node, at home, around your children and family.

I can imagine governments trying to make running a node illegal without a monetary payment service, and completely failing due to a lack of olpublic support for it.
But if they can paint you as a child p**n distribution service? "SWAT that sick mofo right away", the crowds will beg.

It is not relevent. Because your cushy position in the USA lends you a situation of privilege. It's really not that relevent to me at all. What matters to me is that we keep arbitrary data out of bitcoin as much as possible. If the filter is only 1% effective at doing that, I saw work on improving the filter, not dropping it completely.

We need less spam, not more.

If we allow only cute kitten jpegs, it's only a question of time before far worst stuff makes it on chain.

I would rather work towards preventing spam, than have to elect someone to decide of your jpeg is acceptable or not.

Over 30% of on chain stuff is not arbitrary data. And it's growing. We need to start fighting against it.

Economic majority has the final word. At first, some miners would mine BTC, while others BCHjr. If I'm not mistaken that's what had happened with Bitcoin Cash at first. Miners gradually switched back. Miners can only prop up a fork for so long if they are losing money on a chain with less economic support. Eventually, miners either adjust to the economic will of the people or go out of business, proving the real power is in the wider economic network, not within those in control of the mining hardware.

This is absolutely correct. I don't know if you will believe it or not, there are still many stupid people. I don't know if I would call them stupid or very clever, but to me it seems like they are nothing but stupid. Those who think that Bitcoin is a digital currency scam. Due to the increase in the price of Bitcoin, they are completely avoiding Bitcoin now. They will generate money from crypto, but no one will buy Bitcoin.

So, the other day, I was talking in a group where my topic was that Bitcoin and Gold Banana are never too late for you. There, I got a few replies that Bitcoin is a total scam and a financial scam. Which is basically not true at all. I couldn't convince them that as long as you believe in paper money, Bitcoin will not change a single inch. What I can tell those blindly believing people is really beyond imagination.

The concept as per the OP is that in Tree terms a lot of people realise that we should have been planting Trees
to mitigate what is happening with the environment currently. Of course it is easy to see this with hindsight
and we cannot go back . . . so we should be doing it now

The same applies to Bitcoin, with hindsight we collectively realise later that Bitcoin is such a precious asset
and how it helps us mitigate what governments are doing with FIAT, we cannot go back to buy when we
would like so we should buy it now!

I will definitely hire you someday to do some write up for me on a product or service I would wish to promote either here on this forum or outside the forum, you are nothing short of a bundle of talent and you did make a great poet if you did consider writing and publishing a series of books poetic books.

I am not new to crypto currency, I hold some bitcoins but reading this pushed something inside of me that instantly made me hungry to buy more bitcoins right now and not later, and now I have to worry about where to get more fiat, what and what and I have absolutely no need for anymore that I could sell off and use the money to buy more bitcoin.
I believe no one will be debating within himself whether or not to buy bitcoin, and he comes across a post like this that won't end up buying bitcoin instantly without any form of hesitation, kudos bud, what more can we do other than use our God given talent to promote the one thing we all love - Bitcoin.

That is what the procrastinating spirit does to you. it always tells you that the next time is always the best time to buy and then the next time that never ends continues to look like the next time to buy until it eventually ends in regret. if you cant discipline yourself to get started in your investment at the time you have the means of doing it, there is an high chances that even in the next time you have purpose to buy your bitcoin that you will eventually end up not buying it again.

regret does not in any way produce any result for an investor and so, failing to make the right decision when you should and then regretting later hurts you more and does no good to you at all.

আসসালামু আলাইকুম বরাবরের মতন আবারো নিয়ে আসলাম আরেকটি নতুন মাসের এক্টিভিটির উপর। এবারের অ্যাক্টিভিটি নিয়ে বেশি কিছু আলাদা করে বলার নাই তবে গত মাসের চাইতে মেরিট আরনিং তিনগুণের চাইতেও বেশি হয়েছে এটাই মূলত আসা বেঞ্চক অন্য থেকে পোস্ট এক্টিভিটি আরো কমে গিয়েছে এটা আসলে দুঃখজনক।
তারপরও আবারও একই কথা বলবো যে চলেন আমরা চেষ্টা চালিয়ে যাই গ্লোবাল বোর্ডের পাশাপাশি নিজের লোকাল বোর্ডেও কিছুটা সময় ব্যয় করি।
