This essentially depends on the person. If AI is the foundation for anything they will become lazy and even stagnate. Conversely, if someone uses AI as an assistant they will become more creative.

For example, if someone uses AI as a cooking reference, they can use AI to prepare all the ingredients on the table super-fast. However, deciding what to cook how many spices to use and how to serve it so it tastes delicious is still their job as a human. AI cuts their research time from hours to seconds, freeing up their remaining brain time for more productive activities.

What I mean is AI works using probability it knows what usually happens beforehand because it can collect data. But in the real world, AI can't replace your creativity. So if you only rely on AI, your brain will weaken, but if you make AI a tool, for example AI that collects the materials, but you still have to be the architect behind the breakthrough then it will not make you lazy.

Exactly, people who think otherwise are completely delusional. I have made similar examples of more limited tools, calculators -- and how their widespread use has lead to the average adult or child not even being able to calculate simple percentages without them. Given what LLMs can do is quite wide-ranging, this is going to have a thorough and well-rounded negative effect on the average person. Who will be among those cheering for this:

People who are competent or always do high-quality work will have an issue with these things, because in most cases they do not work alone. Even the best engineer in the world is going to be negatively impacted by this if in their large scale project a fair amount of developers who are not that skilled use AI. It will cause a lot more unnecessary review, and it will create many issues and security holes that will only show themselves down the road. Only the best of the best can truly be enhanced by these error-producing tools, because they will be able to spot errors basically on sight, as soon as they are generated. Most people are not able to do this, which is why this misinformation producing slop machines will harm them and those around them.

The last line just hit me so deep. My trust on bitcoin keeps getting stronger every year.
I have been invested in bitcoin since long but never been able to accumulate 1 whole bitcoin.
Although I am happy to have whatever I currently have, yet the dream of holding 1 whole bitcoin is still on top of my bucket list.
Seeing bitcoin grow so much in price every year keeps pushing this dream far and that makes me wonder whether I'll ever reach 1 whole bitcoin or not.

Ναι καταλαβαίνω πως ακριβώς το λες. Είναι αδιανόητο να "ζητάμε" από τον κόσμο να αποκτήσει ξαφνικά Bitcoin με κύριο σκοπό τη χρήση του σε καθημερινές συναλλαγές. Οι μεγάλες διακυμάνσεις του το κάνουν απαγορευτικό για τέτοια χρήση, στο φόρουμ έχουν υπάρξει άπειρα topics σχετικά με το αν θα είμασταν υπέρ του να λαμβάνουμε τον μισθό σε Bitcoin, κάτι που για τον average john doe, δεν είναι εφικτό λόγω αυτών των διακυμάνσεων. Το USDT, ή οποιοδήποτε άλλο stablecoin επιτρέπει να "εισέλθεις" στον κόσμο των κρυπτονομισμάτων και των πληρωμών (με παράδειγμα το πορτοφόλι που ανέβασες), χωρίς το ρίσκο του Bitcoin.

The problem is IMO, is that people are not willing to see things with open mindset (probably they lack the skill to do it). 
People are just hard wired to believe in things which are propagated by famous celebrities/CEOs and endorsed by traditional institutions. Bitcoin offered nothing with respect to these things, you have to believe in math/logic itself and that is it, which not many can dare.
I often think that believing in the success of BTC is actually believing in yourself.

You always bring us these stories like you see through non bitcoiners, lol. Oh how I pictured the guy in the story with his bald head and the jean he bought years ago on a discount and still trying to make sure it still fits him in 2026. I see non bitcoiner as people who have failed to grow up. And if there's still someone out there having such poor mentality about bitcoin then he should actually grow up. There's more than enough prove that points bitcoin to be a promising technology. You can sit down all day and wait for the next critics to tweet on X on his next crash speculation date while your peers who took bitcoin seriously are floating in profits from the bitcoin they bought years ago.

Yes, in my experience, when people get money, they spend it--or at least some of it. There are exactly zero examples of any human coming in to billions of dollars and refusing to spend any of it. Zero.

And yes, the government is not a person: it's an organization with rules. In this case, spending even a single sat would require notifying Congress, which would mean the secret would be compromised. Only the US has the sort of money that could make $70 billion worth keeping a secret. And any individuals involved would not get to have any of this money personally, it would belong to the government, so it's quite logical they would have no motivation to use any of it. If they needed money for a project it would be much simpler to get the money through normal means e.g. Congress.

And... "Keynesian model"?? Sir, this is a Wendy's...

This is the only reason I understand taxes.  But reality is very different.  Politicians are getting richer than ever before, some of the money we earn goes to bribes, off shore accounts, soon to be trillionaires et cetera.  The people who make the most money do not even pay tax so we end up having to pay more because they never pay theirs, and then out of our money a significant part goes to pockets of politicians and so on.  If we had few things to ever complain about and even those got solved rapidly, we would all want to make an effort.  But it is enough to read the news for today and just think how much of that tax goes to actually meaningful things.

Yes, in this kind of world I find it extremely justified to find ways to avoid paying taxes.  If billionaires can find ways to not pay millions in taxes then why would a broke person pay them.  Yes, in this kind of world taxes are criminal from top to bottom because they are a mechanism to feed pockets of criminals.  Joe Biden pardoned over 4 THOUSAND people.  With enough influence, you can be a criminal and be forgiven.  When life and society is not fair, I will not look for ways to play the game of fairness.  We are either all fair to each other or nobody is.

Εννοείται ότι δεν έχει καμία σχέση με Revolut κλπ (η οποία πλέον φαίνεται άμεσα από την εφορία/ΑΑΔΕ) και σίγουρα το ότι δεν συμπληρώνεις τα προσωπικά σου δεδομένα είναι μεγάλο "ατού", + ότι η προμήθεια συναλλαγών είναι σχεδόν μηδαμινή ακόμα και σε μεγαλύτερα ποσά, κάτι που το έχει πετύχει όμως και το SEPA σε μεγάλο βαθμό μέσω ηλεκτρονικών τραπεζών (σε σχέση με το παρελθόν και σε καμία περίπτωση δε το συγκρίνω με τις συναλλαγές με κρυπτονομίσματα).

Some of these policies are the reason why people look for means to invade tax. Politicians have mastered the craft of avoiding taxes through offshore tax havens. But they want the common man who has discovered means of building a shield against inflation through Bitcoin to pay tax. It is a sad reality that the people would have to pay the price for the mistakes and failures of the government.

I think you guys do not have information or experience in the altcoin world. Yes this is not good in terms of the standards for Bitcoin wallets, but you seem surprised like something is wrong when this is nothing new. Many wallets in the altcoin space have added this kind of option and it has been seen as a great solution for inexperienced users that reduces the friction for getting involved in the crypto space. Tether did not do anything new here, they just followed the current practices from the shitcoin space and sure we can scrutinize it but we should not act as if it is something new.

Yeah it is for a specific type of customer, and people need to evaluate it in regards to what it is supposed to do. This is not a wallet for a Electrum user or someone who knows how to use Lightning in self custody. This is for the kind of people that do not have any idea about any of these things and who couldn't even learn Electrum if you tried teaching it to them!
