That mathematical scarcity combined with self-custody is what makes it irreplaceable. It's a great feeling knowing nobody can just freeze your wallet or dilute your stash.
We need to be very careful to preserve it. Every now and then someone comes with some kind of idea of adding more supply for this or that claimed good reason. It is never a good reason, and should be only considered in a question of life or death for Bitcoin. Even in that case I am not very comfortable with considering it.

Normal users should absolutely never attempt to do that. Ancient technology =/= cryptographically secure RNG. Simplicity is not always good, it really depends on what you are trying to do and why. If you write a BASIC program it will be easy to audit it and to understand the code, but the problem is can the machine actually generate random enough entropy. By default, usually such ancient machines have predictable software RNG. Furthermore, I would not even attempt to try to make that work as trying to create secure RNG on ancient technology is most likely going to lead to all sorts of errors -- it is technically possible, but don't even try it. A bit different but similar, I remember the attempts of many developers to create their own hashes or cryptography, it basically always leads to a big disaster.

Post activity per local board during July 2026During above mentioned period, 13928 posts were made across local boards, which is a small increase compared to June (13659). Top 5 most active boards remained almost the same as month before, with only Pakistan and German locals changing spots.
Active members per local board during July 2026During July, 1298 members wrote at least one post across one of the local boards, and is yet again small increase compared to June, during which 1290 members were active. Like in previous chart, there's no much change among the most active boards, with Nigerian remaining far ahead the others.
Local board members per amount of posts during July 2026When it comes to the percentage of members who wrote only 1 post in their board during last month, leaders are Romanian and Indian boards with 50%, while Pakistan had only 3% of such members.
At the 2-9 posts bracket, leader is Polish board with 60%, while Turkish local board had only 20%.
Regarding the 10+ posts bracket, the leader is Turkish board with 52%, while French board (once again) had no members in that bracket.
Merit shared per local board during July 2026During July, 5818 merit was sent across local boards that are part of this overview, and is a bog drop compared to June's numbers (6573). Majorify of this drop happened on German board, that went from 1267 merit sent in June to 612 in July. These kind of fluctuations aren't strange fro them, so I wouldn't be surprised if they go back to their old numbers.
Merit/Post ratio per local board during July 2026During July, average merit per post ratio across local boards was 0.42, which is a drop compared to June's 0.48 merit per post. Italian board remained at the top, but what is noticeable that majority of local boards had lower July's ratio, compared to 12 month average.

In short, the OP is asking what would have been the best investment in his local currency in 2001, which was worth about $2,100 at the time.
Gold would have been the easiest choice back in 2001. That Rs 40 million figure for mutual funds sounds like the speaker cherry-picked the absolute best-performing fund to make a point.
If I had the money back then, I'd have probably just bought real estate or gold for peace of mind.
You wouldn't have bought much real estate with that amount but yeah, gold is the winner if we exclude the other obvious choice. The one about being visionary enough to buy gold in 2001 and sell it in 2010 to buy Bitcoin.
But all of this is just pointless hindsight speculation.

The absolute biggest deal is the fixed 21 million supply cap. You can't just print more out of thin air when the economy gets rough, which is exactly what central banks do with fiat.
That mathematical scarcity combined with self-custody is what makes it irreplaceable. It's a great feeling knowing nobody can just freeze your wallet or dilute your stash.
This is my biggest bragging right as a bitcoiner knowing that the total number of Bitcoin is known and can never be increased forever and ever no matter what happens in the future unlike the shity currency that losses value always due to the over printing that takes place by the government.
The banks can decide one day to seize whatever you have due to the order of the government but with Bitcoin you determine how you spend, how you move and at whst time you want to spend your Bitcoin self- custody makes it more special than the local fiat.

Most social scammers avoid Lightning because managing inbound liquidity, channel capacity, and expiring invoices adds too much friction compared to a single on-chain address.
It's almost entirely low-value micro-theft rather than large-scale one.
Social engineering scams require the victim to make swift actions so they just focus on anything faster without giving enough time to see the reality that might be the reason, so if the scammer take time to create the channel opening process, then all others to complete the scam successfully might have less success than just sent from address A to X in no time.

Yes there is corruption and corrupt leaders but the west and Europe's assassination of genuinely good leaders in Africa and Pan Africans should not be overlooked.

This sounds like having a dedicated airgapped computer for bitcoin with extra steps.
Am I the only one who just does not trust neither Trezor nor Ledger? The whole point of using separate hardware is so that you do not put any trust on neither the computer nor the coordinator wallet software running (such as Sparrow), but I feel like there are far more attack vectors that can be exploited to a hardware wallet that connects with the computer, than a signing device that is airgapped.
Not a single hardware wallet that you have to connect to an online computer to function is on my list of devices I trust, although I have a Trezor that I use for amounts I can afford to lose. The only thing I still have some confidence in are air-gapped wallets, but even there things are clearly not completely secure considering what happened.
I am advocating for using complex passphrases as seed extensions, though.
How does that work? Say you have a Trezor: do you enter that complex seed extension each time you use the device, using those 2 small keys scrolling through characters?You buy hardware wallet that has a physical keyboard and if you still remember how we used to write SMS messages on the good old Nokia 3310, you won't have any problems entering a 15-20 character passphrase.

Obviously, the colonialists are the primary reason why Africa became poor, but this is because the colonialists conquered the land. What do the African leaders do in response to the conquest? They could have chosen to resist the enslavement of their people, but instead they chose to sell out and be corrupt. It is primarily Africans who tortured other Africans, not white men.
To resist enslavement, you need to be militarily and technologically advanced. The hands of some African leaders are tied because they know the consequences of resisting the white men. What happened to Nicolás Maduro when he resisted the oppressors? Economic sanctions and blockades are now a potent tool to subject nations to oppression.
African leaders like Patrice Lumumba, Steve Biko, Thomas Sankara, and others refused to collaborate with the enslavers, and they were assassinated. Meanwhile, the white men support corrupt leaders who will do their bidding. A young African leader is resisting enslavement in Burkina Faso, and reports have it that he has survived about 18 assassination attempts.

I've never used those, but I've always been curious: how do you know for sure the QR isn't compromised? I'd wouldn't feel completely safe without decoding the QR on another air-gapped system.
The signing device displays on its little screen what inputs you spend and what outputs you create (which addresses are being paid), therefore you don't trust the coordinator software for sending a compromised QR image.
Unless you're asking how do you know that the compromised QR image doesn't exploit a vulnerability that would allow the attacker to compromise your funds. For example, a compromised QR image could be a series of bytes that disable something in the firmware, but this is another level of paranoia for the sake of the discussion. What matters is that it can't steal your randomly generated seed phrase.
BlackHatCoiner explained the visual verification logic perfectly.
Beyond that, stateless signers also rely on open-source reproducible builds and standardized PSBT specs (BC-UR v2) to ensure the QR data payload isn't modified or leaking key material.

Even if African countries are independent, they are still controlled by their colonialists in secret, but this is not the only problem that is dragging Africa back in the world.
One of the problems with Africa is that Africans don't really believe in production, to make their own and to depend on what they have produced. Apart from not having that production mindset, African leaders lack good management and a system that can provide good accountability; there will always be corruption. For Africa to do better, there needs to be a working system that can hold leaders accountable for poor management.

African leaders would not be the most corrupt if they were not aided by developed nations. Most of the resources or money stolen by these corrupt leaders are invested in many developed nations. And these rich nations will not deny that they are aware that these funds were stolen from Africa.
The president of my country has been involved in drug trafficking in the US, and he had to forfeit targeted funds. Criminals like him don't qualify to hold political office. The US has failed to release information regarding this crime because he is a close ally. He is a well-known criminal who has committed several crimes, including moving bullion vans filled with money into his compound a few days before the elections. The money was used for vote buying.
If African leaders are corrupt, then their Western collaborators are also fantastically corrupt. Some of the biggest financial crimes in the history of so many African countries have connections to some nations you think are not corrupt. I am in no way exonerating African leaders from the poverty on the continent, but we also have to admit that there are external enablers.

You do it on the computer the hardware wallet is connected to. It's far from the best approach but it's ok if you are careful and use a dedicated computer just for bitcoin, for example.
This sounds like having a dedicated airgapped computer for bitcoin with extra steps.
Am I the only one who just does not trust neither Trezor nor Ledger? The whole point of using separate hardware is so that you do not put any trust on neither the computer nor the coordinator wallet software running (such as Sparrow), but I feel like there are far more attack vectors that can be exploited to a hardware wallet that connects with the computer, than a signing device that is airgapped.
Spot on. The whole security model of a hardware wallet falls apart the second it shares a physical data interface with an internet connected host.
Stateless, opensource airgapped signers with optical QR communication are the only true way to eliminate host machine trust.

Yes, multi signature is a very nice feature, but will you able to recover the various mishaps you could face using it?
The main problem with multi-sig is that you need to have all the master public keys. If your setup is 2-of-3, then losing an access to one means losing access to your entire stash. Backing up your setup means backing up multiple seed phrases, at which point it starts becoming a very complicated setup, which risks you forgetting something and getting locked out of your funds. I find this scary also.
Not only the seeds, but the xpub and wallet descriptor/configuration, even if the latter can be maintained under a less secure protocol, as it doesn’t entail a loss of fund, but a loss of privacy only.
Then with such a delicate setup, the exact type of hardware device might have some sort of relevance in case of physical damages.
Definetly doable, but we are still early in the “user experiences” of such a setup.

Haven’t you answered your own question? You have listed a pay-per-post rate. It describes why reputable users leave campaigns and join other campaigns. Reputable users are acceptable almost in every campaign. So when they find some other high-paying campaigns, they are free to leave. Simple reason.
However, I am not sure why you are asking that question. You are new here and seem curious about signature earnings. Remember, anyone is free to leave any campaigns anytime. No one is forced to stay on any campaign.
Technically, the OP may have opened a good topic for all those who prioritise the sig campaign, but he did not present it well here.
It is desirable that the payment rate is as good as possible, but often it should not be a decisive factor when choosing a campaign. (At least for those who have the luxury of choosing a campaign). Αν βγει ποτέ exchange που να το δέχεται, θα πρότεινα να μην μπει κανείς καν στη διαδικασία να τα πουλήσει, γιατί το Knots coin δεν έχει replay protection, που σημαίνει ότι αν δεν έχεις ξοδέψει το αντίστοιχο UTXO από το Bitcoin δίκτυο, και κάνεις συναλλαγή A -> B στο Knots, ο B μπορεί να δημοσιεύσει ακριβώς την ίδια στο Bitcoin.
Καλά αυτό θα ήταν τεράστια χαζομάρα αν το εφαρμόσουν όντως, αν και δεν το αποκλείω πλέον με αυτά που έχουμε δει.
Εδώ έκαναν ανακατεύθυνση το hashrare στο pool που έχουν στο φορκ τους χωρίς ξεκάθαρη συγκατάθεση των miner. Δεν ξέρω ποιον κοροϊδεύουν ότι έχουν μεγάλη υποστήριξη στο φορκ τους, κυρίως τον εαυτό τους πρώτα από όλα.
Αλλά ακόμη και τώρα δεν φαίνεται να υπάρχει κανένας διάλογος για το τι θα γίνει από οικονομικής πλευράς. Αυτό με το replay protection μπορεί να το αφήσουν ανοιχτό αν και θα είναι είδους αυτοκτονία για το νόμισμα τους από άποψης να το χρησιμοποιεί κάποιος που έχει bitcoin.

That is right, but this is an ecosystem reasoning, both directions. More important, China does not necessarily have to make a copy of that supply chain, given it cannot get those services at the moment, and can not do that overnight anyway. It may be rough and slow in the beginning but it will (eventually!) be clearer and it will be smoother, 30 years to improve does not mean no one else can start their own 30 years to improve process with full state support pushing them to do so.

Can anyone provide some information about this? Were these members removed by the campaign manager, or did they leave voluntarily because of the higher pay rate and move to the S a t R u s h . i o campaign?First of all, no one is obligated to join a signature campaign and secondly, joining a signature campaign comes with some duties too. Not everyone wants to carry that duty for a long time. Some might want to go to a holiday and prefer to take a break or they have some issues in life and don't have time for the forum and honestly, you can post here without joining a signature campaign too. I'm not among the most reputable members here but I also sometimes take a break from campaigns.
Then there are also better payrates and offers from competitor campaigns, that motivate reputable users to leave their current campaign and join others. Then there are also personal reasons like some prefer to promote an exchange over casino and so on.

I don't think so. I think MiCa regulation is much more detailed than the SEC regulation.
What I meant is also not that there is a "standard law". It's not even "stricter" necessarily in the sense that the norms contain more prohibitions. The difference between Common law and Continental law is that in Common law (US/UK/Commonwealth countries) there are simply less codified laws and thus much is up to the judges to set precedents. This is why you often see more detailed regulations in continental Europe.

No rules will sit well with me if them developers are not ordered to keep every projects the make alive, this is not about roadmap because after several years new roadmaps should come out, I have seen many projects did this.
Why? This only would ensure the eternal centralization of all tokens launched with some kind of ICO or presale. A healthy crypto project could also be managed by a team who explicitly states to manage only the starting years and open source it later. Or open source it from the start but finance the development of the first version of the software with a premine.
That of course would not justify a 80% premine! I would only invest in such a project if the premine is of less than 10% _and_ it really provided some value. I'm generally skeptic about premines.
The problem is of course that some projects frame their marketing in a way you as an investor
could expect the team to manage it for eternity, even if they don't say it explicitly. But thinking logically, no project will be able to do that, even if they wanted. No tech business, except some big names, lasts for more than 20-30 years. So I'm okay with the rule only protecting the investors regarding the promises which are made in the contract (i.e. in their communication) at the moment you bought the token, e.g. in their ICO. I think even with that "safe harbor" regulation American projects will be more cautious about their marketing, because it is more clear and concise now.

Ο Xi έχει ξεκαθαρίσει ότι η "επανένωση" είναι ιστορική αναγκαιότητα, και η απειλή στρατιωτικής επέμβασης παραμένει υπαρκτή εάν η Ταϊβάν κηρύξει επίσημα ανεξαρτησία.

Unless dices are rigged by casino or dirty player to always show the same numbers
I would not worry with regular dice pack you can buy anywhere locally, but you can also print your own dice set if someone is really paranoid.
I don't see any point in combining good entropy from dices with any additional source.

Haven’t you answered your own question? You have listed a pay-per-post rate. It describes why reputable users leave campaigns and join other campaigns. Reputable users are acceptable almost in every campaign. So when they find some other high-paying campaigns, they are free to leave. Simple reason.
However, I am not sure why you are asking that question. You are new here and seem curious about signature earnings. Remember, anyone is free to leave any campaigns anytime. No one is forced to stay on any campaign.
