De-dollarization sounds great on paper, but nobody actually wants to hold massive reserves of rupees or yuan that they can't easily spend globally. Until they build a proper institutional framework and resolve these deep internal rivalries, BRICS will remain a glorified talking shop.
Unless something ground-breaking happens and Bitcoin suddenly goes back to six digits again.
The liquidity of other countries banknotes cannot make cross border transactions as liquid as the dollar at the moment. The problems between members are known to slow down the development of these economic alliances. In case Bitcoin reaches six curves or even higher and becomes highly more valuable than it was last time it hit the all time high, it might have a radical impact on the global financial situation. I believe that money will be a very interesting subject to look into in the future.
It is impossible to predict what will happen in the coming years. So de-dollarization and Bitcoin should be viewed separately. Perhaps we will see a system where the dollar, local currency and Bitcoin can coexist, rather than the dollar versus Bitcoin. In the future, this is more consistent with the current trend, to me. De-dollarization is not just a matter of choosing a new currency. It requires deep financial markets, international trust, the rule of law, an easily convertible currency and a strong payment infrastructure. Currently, the US dollar combines these advantages, so it is difficult for the BRICS to create an alternative to the dollar in the short term.
On the other hand, if the price of Bitcoin goes back to six figures or more, then there is no doubt that it will have an impact on the global economy. As a result, more institutions, companies and perhaps some states may consider Bitcoin as a reserve asset. But it is not right or reasonable to say that the rise in the price of Bitcoin means the end of the dollar's dominance.

This is exactly why you always see billionaires ending up buying media companies and lobbying politicians. If you don't build around politics with your capital, the State will eventually just legislate it away from you. This is just the reality very few people truly understand, and it's where voluntary transaction stops being as beneficial as engaging in coercion, and why the State (the conquerors) exists in the first place.
It is easier to build wealth than sustaining it and that is why many people who seize wealth or it is handed down to them without knowing how to sustain it eventually fails along the way because it takes more than sitting on top of money to continue being wealthy. If you're not aligned with the powers that be they can become envious and plot some policies against your wealth just to see it go down and that is why a lot of billionaires are friends with politicians that makes laws in a country to protect their businesses. Doing business at the top and having massive wealth requires being hardworking and informed especially on the things that can go against your wealth especially competitors and the government of the day.
I really like your perspective, especially the way you highlight the importance of protecting wealth rather than acquiring it, which is a matter of concern.
We see the same thing in nature. Once a tiger has established its claim on prey, its work is not over, but it has to have the strength to defend that claim. If it loses its strength, other animals can take advantage and snatch the prey. So, the same reality applies to wealth; not only acquiring it, but also the ability to defend it is an important part.
It is true that it is more difficult to acquire wealth than to protect it, but I also believe that a person who has acquired wealth through discipline and perseverance knows the right strategy to keep that wealth. Before starting to accumulate digital assets, especially Bitcoin, one should be aware of the seed phrase and security key of the wallet. The purpose is to transfer it to multiple safe places to ensure proper protection of the acquired wealth. Every investor should be aware of this issue because it is important to be knowledgeable about protection before acquiring Bitcoin.
To protect traditional and real wealth, you need to live a disciplined life because excessive luxury can quickly lead to losing that wealth. Living with perseverance and discipline without showing harshness in practically every aspect of life, is a prerequisite for wealth growth

I'm afraid to tell you that I agree with bitmover. Yes, the AI is terrible for your privacy at every measurable level, but the market is an eternal competition, and you stand very little chance without the AI in the next age. Whatever your job is, another person who has the same expertise as you, but outsources a big portion of the work to the AI gains so much time and energy to do other tasks that you don't.
And the models are becoming much better now than 6 months ago. Their evolution is exponential
I have Google AI Pro, which allows me to use Antigravity suite. I am really impressed.
It has Anthropic sonet and gemini integrated. it is really amazing what those models are doing now.
But you need patience to learn how to use and to write good prompts.
I am not even using vscode anymore , just antigravity IDE.
Gemini hallucinates a lot and anthropic claude sonnet is bottom tier of AI. Antigravity is forked vscode with proprietary bloatware, you better off installing claude or codex extension on vscode.
Although I agree with your statement about AI saving a lot of times to get the work done, I tried creating a trading bot and it's done in about 1 hour which probably going to take me whole week to create the bare minimum MVP. Try Fable 5 or GPT 5.6 sol you'd be astounded.
Back to the topic, AI didn't really pass in energy spending, there are tons of complaint filed from the state and the people living around data center. AI is literally being hated everywhere tho.

Gemini is good, but it's not nearly as good as Anthropic's Fable at coding tasks. I use Gemini more for research, because it has 10 million context window, and does not hallucinate when reading hundreds of articles.
I agree, anthorpic is way better. But I received a free google plan for a year, and I don't have anthropic plan.
With antigravity, I have access to gemini 3.5 and anthropic sonet (which is way better)

I'm afraid to tell you that I agree with bitmover. Yes, the AI is terrible for your privacy at every measurable level, but the market is an eternal competition, and you stand very little chance without the AI in the next age. Whatever your job is, another person who has the same expertise as you, but outsources a big portion of the work to the AI gains so much time and energy to do other tasks that you don't.
And the models are becoming much better now than 6 months ago for example.
I have Google AI Pro, which allows me to use Antigravity suite. I am really impressed.
It has Anthropic sonet and gemini integrated. it is really amazing what those models are doing now.
But you need patience to learn how to use and to write good prompts.

If you're not aligned with the powers that be they can become envious and plot some policies against your wealth just to see it go down and that is why a lot of billionaires are friends with politicians that makes laws in a country to protect their businesses. Doing business at the top and having massive wealth requires being hardworking and informed especially on the things that can go against your wealth especially competitors and the government of the day.
I really like your perspective, especially the way you highlight the importance of protecting wealth rather than acquiring it, which is a matter of concern.
We see the same thing in nature. Once a tiger has established its claim on prey, its work is not over, but it has to have the strength to defend that claim. If it loses its strength, other animals can take advantage and snatch the prey. So, the same reality applies to wealth; not only acquiring it, but also the ability to defend it is an important part.

Unfortunately, as dirty as politics is, it's the only way to get yourself covered. I can only think of what is happening in my country regarding to this. We've seen billionaires aligning with politicians, conducting NEC meetings together with them and it's not because they love politics but simply because of institutional cover. No matter how rich you are, without institutional cover, the state is likely to legislate your assets away.

The quality of this discussion has been reduced down to people sharing ChatGPT responses. It's simple, lightning is a Bitcoin script called HTLC (Hashed Time Locked Contract), which grants custody to the owner of the coins, in the same way that a Bitcoin address is a Bitcoin script. Both are equally Bitcoin. The only difference between the lightning script and the address script is that the former is a contract where people need to be synchronized with the Bitcoin blockchain for some time after the script in case they want to exit unilaterally, otherwise the other party can steal the funds.
It actually HELPED examine the posts in the topic about which of them were FACTS and which of them were DISINFORMATION/FUD.
Plus Bitcoin in the Lightning Network ARE Bitcoin which haven't been confirmed on-chain yet. I have already made this debate with franky1.

We may not know the truth behind the creation of bitcoin but we can always be grateful that it was created and launched to the public. And with its current value, people are trying their hands on it.

Btw, ασχέτως χρόνου/χρημάτων, το έτοιμο φαγητό από μαγειρείο -σε τακτική βάση- είναι πολύ κακή ιδέα λόγω των πλαστικών σκευών (ζεστό φαγητό -> απελευθέρωση μικροπλαστικών -> πτώση τεστοστερόνης/θηλυκοποίηση/καρκίνοι).
Είναι καλύτερο να κουβαλάς εσύ γυάλινα σκεύη, αλλά μετά θα τρως και χρόνο στο πλύσιμο.
Η απόλυτη λύση είναι ένα ρομπότ να αναλάβει όλες τις οικιακές εργασίες.
Το οικιακό μαγείρεμα δε "φτιάχτηκε" για να είναι για 1 ή 2 άτομα..."Εμείς" τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες αλλάξαμε της σκοπιμότητα της δραστηριότητας αυτής από οικογενειακή σε ατομική.
Ενώ τα σπίτια της Αθήνας φτιάχτηκαν να κατοικούνται από 1-2 άτομ@ (φασαίες με μπλε μαλλί, Φεμιναζιστικές απόψεις και γατόσκυλα ως «παιδιά»);

bitcoin guardian concept cannot be implemented with just one code change. this undermines the fundamental nature of bitcoin itself. whenever we attach our master key to court authorized seizure or any trusted recovery authority information system, we are replacing cryptographic ownership with political ownership. at this point we will no longer be the true owner of our coin. we can only hold them until some influential legal or political figure decide otherwise.
I get that, but this would only be for UTXOs that people specifically wanted to be fixed. By default, the system would just operate the way it always has.
I get that lots of people don't want to use Bitcoin this way, but why not give people a choice?
They need to take care of their Bitcoin wallets, private keys, mnemonic seeds. If they want to give bitcoins to the others such as their children, they must prepare necessary inheritance steps including teaching their children about that.
That's another very good application for this proposal: what happens when a holder dies and only they had the key? This would give heirs a mechanism to recover their rightful inheritance. (And what if their children were very young? Or what if the parent didn't fully trust them in life? Of what if they died unexpectedly and didn't prepare [which is very, very common]).
They also have to maintain their privacy, and that will minimize risk of Bitcoin physical attacks.
I get that, but based on the very tiny adoption of true self-custody of Bitcoin vs. how most people use it, I think it's pretty clear that 99% of Bitcoin users don't really care about that sort of "privacy" versus the peace of mind knowing they are safe.
I disagree with any "defined legal process", as with private keys, it's enough. Other processes only result in possible technical and security issues which can be exloited while with Bitcoin private keys, it's impossible to brute force it and steal bitcoin.
Um, the Five Dollar Wrench Attack? It happens all of the time. Most people don't like the idea of physically guarding their own life savings with a gun, or against others with guns.
Lol,, these stories are really emotional. but it is not possible to make the right policy based on emotion. today they may be working for a genuine victim but tomorrow you may see a government demanding satoshi's coin. issues such as sanction, tax enforcement or confiscation of property may follow. what will count as abandoned coin, who will actually own them? which country's court decision will be final? i don't trust any govt with that kind of power and i certainly don't want bitcoin to depend on them.
Most older adults (in the US at least) already trust their government with the ownership of their house, their car, and most of their other assets. The only reason you "own" your house is that there's a document filed with the government that says you do. I get that this scares some people, but 99% of people are perfectly fine with this.
I genuinely agree with the problem you’re trying to solve, for key management is one of bitcoins usability problem but your proposal has many risks and trade off.
Introducing an entity like a “Bitcoin Guardian” is more like introducing an administrator to bitcoin, nobody is meant to have such control over bitcoin it’s undermines one of bitcoins core principles. In bitcoin whoever possesses the private key controls it so essentially we are trusting the Guardian with a special authority over Bitcoin that no single entity should have, that’s more like relinquishing control and even if the guardian is trustworthy what do we do about potential attack to the guardian? He holds so much sensitive information if peradventure he were ever attacked, I can’t begin to think of the consequences.
Now the issue of requiring court order to enable guardians recover the wallet also brings back a problem which bitcoin has been trying to solve. Government could eventually argue to freeze a wallet, transfer coins and others, and we may have jurisdiction issue in cases where the us issues a court order and another country issues another court order, which one should the guardian follow?
finally bitcoin can’t distinguish between a long term holder or a lost key. I think The problem is valid but this solution just invites so much potential problems.

We should definitely do this. We can call this trusted Guardian "a Bank", and to save on network fees we'll just run it on a private SQL database.
Inadvertently, you probably pointed out one of the most significant criticisms of this proposal: most people who use Bitcoin already use it this way. If you use CoinBase, for instance, a court order could seize that account (or your heirs can get at it after you die, or it could be frozen if there was a security issue with your account, etc.). So maybe this proposal isn't necessary for current, active Bitcoin holders (the Landfill Guy and older wallets / dead wallets might still have a point though).
So, you view the sole right to own and manage your financial assets as a problem? It's not a security risk or loss, but an ownership right that implies personal responsibility for ensuring their safety. The main feature of bitcoin can't diminish the attractiveness of this asset.
No, the OP said nothing about rights that I can see.
You have the right to hold a bar of gold on your own person or near you. You have a right to give it to your trusted neighbor because they own a gun and you don't. You have a right to give your bar of gold to a business who charges you for its safe keeping. And so on. I don't see what Rights have to do with this conversation.
So, you want to destroy the decentralization of bitcoin (and pseudo-anonymity) by creating a centralized organization (and also involve the courts as regulators) that will be able to influence the recovery of private keys? You're also adding KYCs to all this, since filing a lawsuit can't be anonymous.
Not for every UTXO, only for a specifically-identified subset. In the proposal here, most of Bitcoin would work just like it always did.

Back then, people were often skilled in more than one field. They weren’t limited to just one profession. For example, Ibn Sina was a doctor, philosopher, scientist, and writer. Another example, Leonardo da Vinci was an artist, but he was also an incredible mathematician. He used all of these skills to design and create things that still amaze us in 2026.
We’ll never know if this applies to Satoshi, but maybe he was simply a genius who had advanced knowledge in many different areas and knew how to turn his ideas into reality.

I presume what you mean is that the user has some standard denominations from the former WabiSabi coinjoin, and that he uses each of these private coins as inputs for 1-input 1-output ZeroLink rounds. But how is this complicated process more desired? If the user joins a ZeroLink round, he will have to break the standard denominations into smaller ones to be able to pay the mining fee, and then joins another WabiSabi round. Why not just join a WabiSabi round twice? I do not see any monetary benefit, neither a privacy.
This was my initial thought as well. I had previously claimed that ZeroLink was obsolete, under the impression that WabiSabi was a desirable replacement for every scenario. However, WabiSabi COMBINED with ZeroLink wins out for several cases. Each protocol fixes a gap that the other one suffered from:
ZeroLink Only:
- Inputs do not have uniform matching values, creates toxic change
- Inputs can't be consolidated without leaking common ownership
- Multiples of the base output denomination are created for whales
- Gathering liquidity and remixing is difficult
- Change from postmix payments create a privacy dead end
WabiSabi Only:
- The round's inputs are not revealed until output registration starts, reducing efficiency
- Batched payments are not guaranteed to be private, and marginally reduce the efficiency for other participants
- More costly than ZeroLink and Payjoin, 600-700 vBytes per tx
- Discards ~100 sats in dust per round to avoid toxic change
- Marginally worse DoS protection than ZeroLink Only
WabiSabi + ZeroLink:
- Inputs have uniform matching values, and do not create toxic change
- No consolidation occurs in rounds, 1 input per user
- No denomination multiples are created for whales, 1 output per user
- No additional block space is consumed to store arbitrary values in multiple outputs, and no dust is discarded
- Gathering liquidity is automatic and remixes are incentivized
- Change outputs from postmix payments are never created when spending ZeroLink outputs with WabiSabi, and can be remixed when spending with Payjoin

This is exactly why you always see billionaires ending up buying media companies and lobbying politicians. If you don't build around politics with your capital, the State will eventually just legislate it away from you. This is just the reality very few people truly understand, and it's where voluntary transaction stops being as beneficial as engaging in coercion, and why the State (the conquerors) exists in the first place.
It is easier to build wealth than sustaining it and that is why many people who seize wealth or it is handed down to them without knowing how to sustain it eventually fails along the way because it takes more than sitting on top of money to continue being wealthy. If you're not aligned with the powers that be they can become envious and plot some policies against your wealth just to see it go down and that is why a lot of billionaires are friends with politicians that makes laws in a country to protect their businesses. Doing business at the top and having massive wealth requires being hardworking and informed especially on the things that can go against your wealth especially competitors and the government of the day.

Εγώ δε μπορώ να φανταστώ την ιδέα να ζω για πάντα. Μου ακούγεται ένας εφιάλτης. Ο λόγος που ευχαριστιέσαι τη ζωή σου και που σηκώνεσαι κάθε μέρα να δουλέψεις είναι επειδή ο χρόνος σου είναι σπάνιος και κάποια μέρα τελειώνει. Για ποιο λόγο να σηκωθείς από το κρεβάτι αν ζεις για πάντα πάμπλουτος;
Δεν υπάρχει φως χωρίς σκοτάδι. Οι χειρότερες στιγμές της ζωής μας διαμορφώνουν το χαρακτήρα μας και τελικά είμαστε ευγνώμονες για αυτές τις κακές στιγμές. Γι' αυτό βλέπουμε και περιπτώσεις παιδιών που γεννιούνται σε πλούσιες οικογένειες, τα έχουν όλα και πάλι πέφτουν στα ναρκωτικά / αυτοκτονούν / είναι δυστυχισμένα.
Αναρωτιέμαι πως το αντιμετωπίζουν αυτό στην ελίτ.
Χρειάζεσαι κάποιο λόγο για να ξυπνάς κάθε μέρα ενθουσιασμένος. Η δουλειά που κάνεις είναι σημαντικό κομμάτι και αν σ' αρέσει τότε ξυπνάς κάθε μέρα ευτυχισμένος. Το θέμα είναι να βρεις τι θα σου άρεσε να κάνεις ακόμα και αν δεν πληρωνοσουν... Αν αυτό το κάνεις δουλειά η κάθε μέρα στη ζωή σου θα είναι μία συνεχόμενη ευτυχία.

Αν δεις το Vigilant Citizen και ποιοί το προωθούν (ο «αντισυστημικός» Μασκ που έχει προωθήσει από mRNA, μέχρι carbon credits), είναι πασιφανές ότι «ψήνεται» race war (λευκοί vs λάθρο), με σκοπό να γίνει μεγάλη αιματοχυσία, η οποία θα είναι το ιδανικό «πάτημα» για την Ελίτ να φέρουν στρατιωτική καταστολή και να εγκαθιδρύσουν το Project Panopticon (κάμερες κάθε 50 μέτρα που θα στέλνουν feed στην AI, Digital ID, social credit score κλπ.)
Θυμάσαι ποιός είχε οργασμό εδώ μέσα με τις κάμερες.
Και στον πολιτικό κόσμο θα βάλουν πλάτη ο Τζήμερος και η Σλατινοπούλου.
Γενικά η όλη φάση με τη λαθρομετανάστευση, τους βιασμούς (εδώ μούγκα οι Φεμιναζί), το δικαστικό σύστημα που χαϊδεύει τους εισαγόμενους εγκληματίες (ενώ τους λευκούς τους ξεσκίζει) έχει σκοπό να τσαντίσει τον μέσο λευκό άνδρα, μέχρι να του σπάσουν τα νεύρα και να γίνει αυτόκλητος τιμωρός.
Σαν να πας με ένα ξύλο και να ενοχλείς μια σφηκοφωλιά ή μια οχιά... και μετά να το παίζεις και θύμα αν αμυνθεί.

It's mathematically impossible for an entire economy to run purely on passive income. If everyone is just extracting yield, the actual production of goods and services grinds to a halt.

This is only necessary in two main cases, if you want to be extremely wealthy such as the billionaire class or if you want to be somewhat wealthy but still show it off. In all other cases it is unnecessary, there are many wealthy people walking pass you some even in the hundreds of millions range and you would not even think that they own their own house. That's a nice theoretical attack vector that you posted there. Now ask your ChatGPT app if there were actual theft successfully executed in the Lightning Network by using the information written in that paper.
There are other known exploit scenarios for LN as well.
So few people actually use Lightning/LN that I suspect hackers currently have bigger fish to fry, which is probably why you haven't seen more problems.
But sure, keep asking people to implement a technology that has
known exploits. You will certainly convince
a few... people... but not a lot--and Lightning's lack of serious adoption demonstrates that.
Meanwhile, there are no such known exploits for Bitcoin besides a global 51% attack, which has been shown to be very low risk. In other words, the world's security experts have signed off on Bitcoin, and people have risked billions of dollars of their own money on the technology. LN does not survive under the same scrutiny, it's not even close.

It's mathematically impossible for an entire economy to run purely on passive income. If everyone is just extracting yield, the actual production of goods and services grinds to a halt.
The market would eventually make asset yields crash to near zero, and wages for actual labor would skyrocket. At the end of the day, your passive income exists because someone else is out there actively working.
But without people who actively work to generate passive income, then the idea of passive investment will not come to succeed.
Balancing passive and active income is also essential because it will benefit the current economy. Otherwise, if everyone focuses only on creating passive source of income, the flow of income that is supposed to run the economy will vanish, thus putting the economy into higher prone of failure and eventually collapse in the long run.
