With Bitcoin Spot ETF applications then approvals in the USA in January 2024, Bitcoin already became a part of traditional market, so it won't disappear, never, and it will continue moving forward.

I get that being a Gen Z young man is way more difficult than a Millennial or Gen X, because of the poverty, the sexually liberated world, the fall of purpose etc., but those are things they should actually make them angry. Most are just passively submitting to video games and porn. What's the purpose in that? There's not even fun to prioritize above purpose. It's just passive cope.
Getting angry at oneself for some may cause inferiority complex or create frustration and often suicidal thoughts, because one sees how they are not where they are supposed to be and can't get there faster with their little or no effort so far. It calls for change and it is quite difficult to stop a habit without having a better replacement for it. This is where the problem lies.

Having a purpose and a goal in sight is often the best driver to success and change in ones personal life, because the effort and thought process that is formed and developed while striving to fulfill what is envisioned becomes a better replacement for bad habits and a passive living.

BlackHatCoiner is spitting facts. Yes, the world we live in currently might not be the best but the truth is, it is what it is.
Although it's not the best, we have to try to make the best out of it and that's the only thing we can do.
Try to eat good food instead of junk food. Start cooking your own food instead of going out.

Education is important but skills are more important and so, identify your skill and keep on improvising until you get a better job for youself.
People out there are competitive and if you want to survive then you need to be better.

Independence is important but so is taking care of your family and spending time with them.
You have to figure out a middle way on your own.

Yet I know, we need to be angry because the system is poorly designed and the leaders out there governing the states are at fault for this.

Those that add helplessness to their anger, of frustration or whatever are part of a different group.

Now they are very crowded and it is much harder to build a repertoire of clients for those that try this thing. New opportunities always exist, they are a sign of changing times -- but that does not mean that the situation is good. literally everyone is not happy with his situation and the system he finds himself in. the difference between the people that are making headway and others is that the successful ones are building bridges with the stone life throws at them rather than falling down because of how hard life hits him. sitting back and complaining of how hard life presses you will only end up keeping you stagnated instead of helping you gain a very good stand.

The way i take life is that i do not see myself as one special person that is different from the rest. i just accept what is the reality around me and try to find a way around it. if you are not ready to pay the price and to actually do something out of your life in the midst of the economy that is actually as bad as this in all respect, you are going to just walk through life filled with regrets and wishes that never comes to pass.

I also dont think this is the situation world wide. There are plenty of opportunities to make money nowadays , but those opportunities are different than millennials had.

For example , in Brazil lots of people make money in the internet selling courses or stuff like that. There is a big niche online to make money.

And there is crypto! This didnt exist when I was young.

Also, people who live in decent countries have lots of opportunities with the new technologies that are booming now. Such as AI and crypto. I can only imagine how much a good 25y old engineer can make in the United States...

Yes, but there is a danger to it. Some people end up doing the stupidest things with their anger and justify their continual withering away through further bad decisions, because the "world is bad". Anger can be extremely productive, but it won't happen on its own. You have to make it happen.

This is the part that stick so hard in my memory. Reading through the entire post, I realised the reality of our time... the time of great distraction and confusion. We have never had a time where people are more confused as now, a lot of people have no clear view of what they future will be and not even getting conventional education bring hope or assurance because like you said, while people are learning modern philosophy,  AI is changing everything. I'm a graduate myself and when I talk personal appraisal of how far I have gone,  my age and what lies ahead, I'm always grip with fear and uncertainty.

Well, data is big money. Without data retention and sharing with others that are paying a price, many companies would not be where they are today. If you send your private documents to a company how can you be sure they will keep it safe? Keeping that aside, why would anybody want to mix if they would receive coins that are not anonymous?

Few years ago I started making yearly overview of the local board activity as a way to compare the progress (or regress), and time has come for 2025 overview.  All charts and table are made using data from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and BitList.

Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bengali) don't have their own local boards yet, but I hope that's something that will change this year.


Post activity per local board during 2025

During the last year, 161066 posts were made across local boards that are part of this overview, which is a considerable 15% decrease compared to 2024 (192417 posts). Its no surprise that Nigerian local board ended up at the top, followed by Russian and Turkish local boards, while at the same time, Romanian, Greek and Polish are once again at the far left part of the chart.

Also, it is obvious from the chart that majority of local boards had decreased activity, while only a few like Nigerian, Pilipinas and Croatian had a decent growth.

During 2025, 5154 members wrote at least 1 post in one of the local boards, which is negligent decrease compared to 2024's number (5188). Surprising thing though is that Russian board leads this chart and not Nigerian, and by quite some margin.

Another chart that shows how many active members each board had during the last year, but this one is more detailed and shows the how many of each type of posters boards have, giving us the better picture of local boards.

So, for example, even though Russian board has double the amount of members that Nigerian board has, the latter has much stronger "core" group of members that wrote 100+ posts during the above mentioned period.



Merit shared per local board during 2025

Given the increase of merit sources across local boards, no surprise that almost all local boards had increased number of merit sent, compared to 2024. So, during the last year, 89244 merit was sent, compared to 2024's 75339 merit.

The one that obviously sticks out is Nigerian local that more than doubled the number of merit sent, and Croatian local that had ~150% increase owing it mainly to a few new very active members



Merit/Post ratio per local board during 2025

Given the overall decrease of the number of posts written and increase of merit sent, no surprise that average meriit per post ratio during 2025 was 0.55, noticeable increased compared to 2024's 0.42 merit per post.

As you can see, differences here are pretty huge, even among the local boards of the similar size. So, Romanian as the least active local board has the highest percentage of merietd posts, while at the same time the 3rd least active local board (Greek) has the lowest percentage of merited posts.

During the last year, 1385 members sent while 1788 received merit, which is similar to 2024 numbers ( 1337 senders and 1388 receivers). I have to say that I expected much bigger numbers, considering the increase of merit sent.

Its surprising to see Greek board with the highest merit per tx, since they have one of the lowest merit per post ratios. then again, in 2024 they had the highest merit per tx so I guess members there prefer to send merit there in bulk.

And for the end of the last year's overview, top 10 active members per local board. For the 4th year in a row leader is joker_josue from Portuguese board with 1948 posts, while 2nd and 3rd spot goes to two members from Russian local, klarki (1704) and Julien_Olynpic (1552). Gj guys, keep it up!

45% is actually quite attractive as a top tax bracket for real estate and you see the results in Greece right now. Foreign entities are buying the country's real estate to take it of the long term market and make it Airbnb.

We went from being one of the first countries in terms of home ownership to having a shortage of viable housing units and home ownership decreasing every year. So we're already seeing the effects of letting businesses roam around and do whatever they want unrestricted. Housing becomes a business and the working people are thrown out of their homes by force.

More countries should street clear away from Greece's example. Because while the country is facing a financial crisis the government is only making measure that deepen the divide between the ultra rich and everyone else.

Donald Trump isn’t just America’s president, he is an important figure in the society and surely does amass a lot of following due to his knowledge and exploits in the business space.

He has in the past become the spark that influenced others to more demands on Bitcoin and even sells due to his tweets, pending what direction he chose but, that’s as much as it goes. Still, his strength is as much as we believe and that’s it.

I get your point highlighting his possessions on manipulating the bitcoin price which his Political influence as a the USA president can actually force price.
But wait a second, if he have the mandate to just sign bill of the US buying bitcoin and it just work like that, why have the bill for the US to adopt bitcoin strategy reserve and legal tender not been signed my the senates yet all these while but yet he is not making any impact towards it.
Well already most persons have the view that Donald Trumps does not care about bitcoin anymore since he is inaugurated.

@Ambatman and @DaveF you need to spend less more time seriously answering to OP. He is a known troll and misinformation spreader. He is not here to contribute to Bitcoin, he is here to cause harm. This is an example where the policies of @theymos completely suck. Instead of creating a place of quality discussion, he creates a place of mostly shitposters and malicious individuals that are actively harming other users. Just look at how many people were recently tricked by bullshit into running Knots, this includes some even senior forum members who are participating in WO. There is a risk of that comes with time spent here, people tend to get more susceptible to have an overconfident belief of their thinking ability and Bitcoin knowledge. FUD is very effective against people who are new to Bitcoin and to certain groups of very senior Bitcoiners, the middle group is where most people are unaffected.

Έχω το Gemini Pro λόγω σύνδεσης μου μέσω πανεπιστημιακού ιδρύματος (ο μλκς δεν το είχα δει όταν νωρίτερα, το αντιλήφθηκα λίγο πριν πάρω πτυχίο), το έχεις δοκιμάσει και πως το συγκρίνεις με το ChatGPT; Κυρίως έχω χρησιμοποιήσει ChatGPT και Deepseek, και έμεινα πιο ικανοποιημένος από το πρώτο σε ανάλυση δεδομένων κ.ο.κ. Το Deepseek μπέρδευε τα δεδομένα ενός πίνακα που του έδινα και έβγαζε λάθος αποτελέσματα. Στη διπλωματική μου ήταν ένα τρομερό εργαλείο (ChatGPT) για να μειωθεί ο απαιτούμενος χρόνος σε συγκεκριμένες διεργασίες (όχι για να το βάλω να τη γράψει αυτό), όπως επίσης και το NotebookLM. Το Gemini Pro ξεκίνησα πλέον να το χρησιμοποιώ όταν είχα ήδη τελείωσει.

I believe like you did as institutional investors are smart and they don't actually need to change the game. While they know very well about Bitcoin protocol design with 4 year halving (each 210,000 blocks) that is amazingly working for Bitcoin and its market cycle. They can manipulate the market for having kind of profit each annual year even in a bearish year, while in long term they can do their market manipulations based on the Bitcoin 4-year cycle that already exists and does not need to be changed entirely to a super cycle.

By the way, any super cycle has to end somehow as no asset can have a super cycle that start and last forever without any correction and bear market for re-accumulation and reset the game.
