Thanks for the update @cygan!

Everything from 2nd - 9th is super close. I mean one good match day and you're likely to climb several spots in the leaderboard.

Any comments on Dortmund recent performances? Do you think they are going to sack their coach Nuri Sahin any time soon? I mean if they keep losing, things look dark for him.

4. Post 64679376 (unedited backup) (by Rikafip) (scraped on Mon Oct 28 11:32:25 CET 2024) in Brief monthly overview of the local board activity:

Here it is, another brief monthly obverview of the local boards activity and this time for September 2024. As usual, all charts and table are made using data from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space.

Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bangladesh) don't have their own local boards as of yet, but I do hope that's something that will change in the near future, as it happened with Nigerian board.

Post activity per local board during September 2024

During September, 13566 posts were made across 18 local boards that are part of this overview which is a slight increase compared to August (13150) which is kinda expected as summer is over and people are spending more time inside at the computer (at least I know I am).

Once again Russian board has been by far the most active one, despite the ban and need to use VPN in order to access bitcointalk, while Turkish board kept their 2nd spot, with Nigerian board climging up to the 3rd sport (up from 5th) while on the bottom we have the usual suspects; Polish, Indian and Greek local boards (Romanian board is usually there too, but this time they were more active).

Active members per local board during September 2024

During last month, 1281 member wrote at least 1 post in one of the local boards which is a slight increase compared to August (1268). Small increase, but the important one. As always, Russian board has by far the most amount of active members, followed by Nigerian and Indonesian local boards, while on the other side, Greek and Polish were once again below 10 acive members, even with last month's increase.

Local board members per amount of posts during September 2024

When it comes to the members who wrote only 1 post, French local board is way ahead the others with a very high 60%, followed by Russian (50%) and Portuguese (38%) local boards, while on the other hand Pakistan has the lowest percebtage of such members (8%), followed by Romanian (12%) and Bengali (17%) local boards.

In the 2-9 posts bracket leader is Croatian local board with 65% of such members, followed closely by Romanian (64%) and Nigerian (60%) local boards. At the bottom of this bracket there is Portuguese local boards  with 14%, followed by Italian (27%) and  Turkish (29%) local boards.

Regarding the 10+ posts bracket, leader is Pakistam wheere exactly half (50%) of the active members wrote 10+ posts, followed closely by Portuguese (48%) and Italian (47%) local boards. In the same bracket, Indian local has the lowest percebtage of such members (11%), followed by Russian (14%) and Croatian (15%) local boards.

Merit shared per local board during September 2024

In the last month, 5794 merit was shared across 18 local boards, which is a slight decrease compared to month before (August, 6066).

Considering the small increase in the amount of posts, I expected more merit shared, but it didn't happen. Since decrease is not so big, not all local boards had the fewer merit sent, and some like Turkish and German even managed to increase it, while Russian board rewmained at the top despite the decrease and I don't see anyone threating them in the near future.

Merit/Post ratio per local board during September 2024

Last month's merit/post average across local boards was 0.44 which is a decrease compared to August (0.5 merit/post) which makes sense as number of posts went up while at the same time fewer amount of merit was sent.

What didn't change though is the local board at the top; Arabic once again with the highest ratio, but this time Pakistan and Bengali climbing at the very high 2nd and 3rd sport and I don't remember seeing them so high in the past. Its fair to say though some of the usual names (Spanish, Romanian) at the top had a big decrease, which helped some other names climbing higher.

Percentage of merited posts across local boards during September 2024

After several months of some of the local boards having very high percentage of merited posts, this time numbers are most realistic.

First time since |I make this chart Croatian is at the top, followed by Italian and Romanian local boards. There is a some change at the bottom  as well as  Pilipinas finally managed not to be among 2-3 local boards with lowest percentage and I hope they continue like that in the future as well.

Merit senders and receivers per local board during September 2024

During September, 465 members sent merit while 540 received which is not a big change compared to previous month (422/544) and once again both Nigerian and Indonesian local boards have more of their members sending and sharing merit than Russian, while only having a bit more than one third of their merit. Its so too unusual though, as Pilipinas boards regularly has high numbers despite low amount of merit.

Merit per transaction across local boards during September 2024

And in the end of this series of chart, merit per transaction one. Interesting here is that while French local board generally has a lower merit per post ratio, their merit per tx is consistently high, and also explains why they have the lowest percentage of merited posts last month.

The most active members per local board during September 2024

Last but not the least, list lof top 10 active member per local board. Once again at at the top its one of the members from Russian board and this time its Bits.media, follwed by  mandown from Turkish local board with 212 posts and another member from Russian local board, Nuburian with 209 posts. Its unusal to see joker_josue out of top 3, so let's see if he makes it back next month (even though he still wrote very respectable 200 posts).

5. Post 64678991 (unedited backup) (by LoyceV) (scraped on Mon Oct 28 08:50:02 CET 2024) in Do signature campaigns silently go all-in?:

Quote from: Saint-loup on October 27, 2024, 03:39:19 PM
You are maybe right, but some casinos are way more famous than Crypto.com, Trezor, Bitpay or Bitrefill and they still have ongoing signature campaigns here. In addition it doesn't explain why less known exchanges or other non-gambling platforms don't advertise here anymore.[/quote]
I always assumed casinos have much higher profit margins. Say someone wagers $10k at 2% house edge. That's $200 profit for the casino. Some users wager millions, which means tens of thousands in profit. Trezor may be able to sell 3 different hardware wallets to a very good customer, but that's where it ends. They need many different customers, casinos only need a few highly profitable ones.

IMO this forum is less reputed than it used to be because despite the merit system, some sections are still too much spammed for being interesting to read, or even to stay readable unfortunately.
I'd argue other platforms, such as social media, are much less interesting to read. But for some reason they have so much more users. I've even blocked Reddit from my computer, because every time Google brings me there, I get one post without the rest of the discussion. Social media have a terrible way of presenting data for people without any attention span.

The questions for Round 12 are here!

The deadline is NOT the usual one for some of you, so recheck it.
The european time has shifted, so the deadline is now Tuesday October 29th, 18:00 GMT (forum time).

Finally a 'standard' BSFL round with mostly football, but also other sports.
We have MLB World series, Paris ATP1000 and we'll even do the Sao Paolo F1 race, although it will finish close to the deadline. We hope no challenges will be accepted afterwards Grin

In LMS we have Trofo and vd309 ahead of the pack, let's see if they can slip up a bit.

Quote from: Saint-loup on October 26, 2024, 09:46:53 PM
The thread should be a serious one maintained by a kind of committee of several members IMO, because if it's just a personal thread from one member, it's useless.
It’s unlikely that many will maintain it since only one user started that thread. If the OP becomes inactive for any reason, someone else can always step up and create a new thread to keep the awareness campaign alive.

The great thing about the thread is that anyone looking to inquire can check the conversations related to a specific scam accusation, so it really comes down to the user's judgment. As for reputation, that’s based on personal opinion. Blindly following what's written in that thread could lead to poor judgment, so users should learn how to read and analyze the information themselves.

I agree but Bitrefill is reputed for using a fair rate for the purchases of its gift cards. It doesn't mean they're doing the same with their credit card but each time I've checked for gift cards purchases, it was the current price of BTC on the exchanges that had been used for the conversion. It's not the same for all gift card providers, for example when I've checked in the past, Cryptorefills was using lower rates.

100%, I've been using their gift cards for years now and their pricing was always fair imho.

Nevertheless this 1.99% deposit fee for every (!) deposit to your card wallet is just ridicolous. I mean you get burned every time you top it up, while other competitors don't charge this fee at all.

I really hope they update this in the future, because I doubt many users will try their card, if they learn about the fee.

Hi guys!

So Napoli would be playing twice for the round (?) They play against Lecce then AC Milan but I guess the goal would only be counted when they play against Lecce? Kinda confusing eventhough its on Monday but Milan was included as the list so monday game should be counted right
Round is from 25.10 till 28.10 and Milan-Napoli play on 29.10 so it shouldn't count. Bologna - Milan is postponed due to flooding of the pitch.

He is in the correct, no one never is gonna play twice in this contest, Serie A is gonna play a mid week round (round 10) in  the next week starting on 29 but for us that its not gonna matter for us, we always play on weekends rounds.

What a fucking bad news about the delayed game on Milan, i hope nobody choose Milan.

Tagging the people who have not yet sent their selections. MILAN DOESNT PLAY SO DONT CHOOSE THEM!!!!!!

I think I agree with him, if they wanted to make a exit scam it would be the worst strategy to follow if they want to take as much funds as possible.

I would think that by now most people have withdrawn their funds and the site is low on liquidity. It is not a typical exit scam where they disappear once they have maximized their profit. If they exit scammed, it wouldn’t be too hard to track them down because they are an affiliate of Binance which requires KYC. The FUN token team is also doxxed. They could be trying to avoid legal problems and that’s why they haven’t pulled the plug on the site and walked away yet. They might just slowly kill it and declare bankruptcy at some point.
