Though I can't call it direct cheating, it was definitely a manipulation. He isn't respecting the manager's rules and not delivering for what he has paid. I don't know why he has been doing this when he is free to make posts anytime. Manipulating posts is really shady behaviour.

As a manager you can add this rule if you like, but I believe a post can be edited if necessary. But not like Saint-loup's manipulation. Due to various reasons, we might need to edit posts sometimes; it doesn't mean everyone is manipulating it.

That's why it's very important to visit users' post history and posting behaviour occasionally during the campaign before the final post count. So it will make sure quality of the posts and campaign as well; it will deliver the best results for companies.

When I had been managing campaigns, I occasionally visited participants' posts history. Because it's the manager's responsibility to deliver better quality to companies.

We're the damaged party in this case and we don't believe this is a case that warrants a red tag so I hope we don't see it from somebody else.
The punishment is appropriate and a neutral tag is there for those that will want to know more about this case.

As far as we're concerned, the case is closed. Would have preferred a 'sorry boys, was a bit of a dick' than silly excuses though. We did our due diligence and there's no doubt about what the reasons for those edits were.

Although what Saint-loup did was not expressly forbidden, I think that we all understand that what he did wasn't totally fair. On weekends most of us have more time to write, but we have to settle for having a limited number of posts counted on those days, and that is in the rules.

I don't wish harm on anyone and I'm sorry for what happened to you Saint-loup. Now that things are clear and this thread has already served its purpose of informing the case, I hope you can get over it soon.

Many of us edit our posts after rereading them. Writing "Edit:" is a good practice in the forum, but in case of typos or when you change or delete a sentence, it usually doesn't fit well. So I agree that banning editing wouldn't make much sense.

The answer is no.

I think the things you're sharing, you can either come back later at the time you have time to post/write or you can use "Draft" you stored your word and post and come back later to continue your post write.

Many people who want to created a thread/post with quality thread/post are mostly using "Draft" cause we feels the post/thread not enough and we still looking information as resource referring for our post with inputed the link as reference off course.

By the way, If you due this because the threshold signature campaign 25 post/weeks are hard for you. The decision is on you too, you can leave the campaign and joined a campaign with paid-per-post. You have a free time to post anytime you want, and you still getting paid what you post without any pressure at all from the minimum post to be qualified you getting paid.

While it isn't cheating per se, we definitely feel cheated. When we are checking your posts they are different than what they were most of the week. We don't even have minimum post requirements in our campaign. 5 good posts per week would be fine by us but that means just 20$ payment instead of 100$. Which is why I am inclined to think this was intentional.

Personally I never go back and read old pages of the topic. I follow the conversation and posts edited few days later would be missed almost every time. Edited post doesn't even trigger notification bot. I presume most people use forum like that which means that vast majority sees your one liners with our signature below it. That is not something we want in our campaign for our client. Simple as that. If it was intentional or not is moot point in this case.

Regarding banning post editing in the campaign rules.
That seems just silly. Every organic poster edits their posts sooner or later. Mistakes happen and new information becomes available. I am often writing on mobile and typos sometimes happen. If I see them later on on PC I always edit those posts or even rewrite some sentences if I feel I could have said it better.

I've been in a campaign with high quality posters for years, and never saw anyone do this. I've only seen it from the likes of bounty spammers, which is why it made you stand out so much more.

I checked the first 5 English posts on 10, 20 and 30 pages back in his post history. It looks like he's been doing this for a while, although those didn't take 4 days to get edited:

You can actually do your day job and still work on the forum. It all depends on how you plan your time like I said earlier. I don't have issues with post edits because I do edit mine too but where I can't seem to wrap my head was the line where the op said he'd edit those post almost or close to when it's the cut off time. If you know that at a particular time, your post count is supposed to be counted, why not round it off way before hand?
 I have read the explanation given by Saint-loup and it still doesn't sit well with me. He may have his reasons for doing what he did he feels that it's okay but I just have a question for him though;

If that's a problem, what you could instead do is to save the topics or posts that you are ineterested in replying to and then simply do it when you have more time or when you are at the computer. That's honestly the worst reply you could have given. The best response would have been to acknowledge that you were wrong, apologize and move on, but coming here with that indignant tone as if you had done nothing wrong is going to work against you. I don't know if you haven't realized that nobody shares your vision, especially your campaign managers.

Your first time post means a lot to people because it can be a contribution and also educate others but when you reserved it and edit it when the pay hour is very close is not a matter of using smart phone. It means you are not here to educate people and contribute to knowledge because many have already passed that page and they will not come back to read your edited reserved. Your excuse doesn't make sense.
25 post a week and you can post 5 posts a day. If you were busy in the offline jobs then you would have inform the campaign manager and left the campaign quietly.  The campaign manager supposed angry with you because it is what you post advertising the Avatar and Signature of the casino and if it is quality post people quote and make references on it. And all that making the casino ads more visible. But when reserving it with a phrase and edit it at the deadline is very bad frankly speaking.

You do not need to post if you do not have the time to post, you can just wait until you have time to post. Not that you are replying to posts fast to say that is a good reason but this would have been noticed and you would have been punished for it. This is not a good reason at all. Also that you were editing the post like 4 days after your have posted before. Just apologize and change.

That can be a factor but if you had time to make a short post, why not finish the whole thing? And according to what the Op brought up, it showed that he did this over a period of different intervals so what you're trying to say is, at the time he made those few worded posts, he was on the job?
I know you're just giving your own impressions of what might be the reason why Saint-loup did what he did but you know, if you've got a day job that may affect your forum time, you could make a plan that would suit both the job and the forum posts, so that you don't get issues like this.

I edit now and then myself and not counting edited posts would be an extremely radical act, but maybe a radical act is needed. Trial and error.

You know as good as I do that if rules aren't made 10000000% clear users will exploit them in campaigns which is why I say technically he isn't cheating. Assuming someone decided to not pay for edited posts, I am sure that certain users would be exempt from the rule and it would be on a case by case basis. As stated everyone makes an edit or 2 now n then. It's a forum though, not a class assignment that has to have perfect grammar so I can't really see why someone would be editing 100 posts a week.

I'm guessing the cheater is likely a part of an alt farm who is doing this activity from multiple accounts. Then going back and editing, likely doing a few accounts a day. Someone should be looking for more users doing this and connect the dots.

This is unethical behavior and just not paying the user for 1 week wouldn't be a suitable punishment IMO. Would you lat plagiarism go with a 1 week suspension and a smack on the wrist? Just another unethical behavior.

My question is why make such posts and then edit them later on, precisely towards cut off time? If it was done once, I think it would be counted as a mistake, but more than once? That's a pattern and for some reason, he was thinking he'd get away with it as he has been doing.
 There was a user, I think Can't say is the name, who does this little worded posts after the creation of a thread and then he'd go later on to edit, the user gave his reason which was quite reasonable so I think it will be nice if Saint-loup also came here and explained too.

I even see some fellows who involved in this shit posting habits making comments in the first page with the word's reserves, just to secure that first page and comments  position, and then come back after a Ling while to edit and fill up the comment just to.meet they campaign post requirements.

In my own opinion, this pour case of spam since the first comment is auterly out of place just with the aims of reserving that particular space, if it a typo error, that being edited that is fine, but in this regards, I think it's quite out of place.

For me this is a clear case of not delivering on the work you are being paid for. In the moment most people see the post and signature it is nowhere near the quality we want for our brand.

We were also talking about appropriate trust tags for breach like this and while I belive this doesn't deserve red tag since it isn't outright scam, it definitely deserves neutral tag to warn people when dealing with Saint-loup in the future.

After being caught engaging in behavior we consider cheating, Saint-loup has been removed from the LiveCasino campaign.

While our rules may not explicitly prohibit what occurred, the actions in question clearly go against the spirit of fairness and integrity we expect from all participants.
This kind of behavior undermines trust and does not reflect well on our client so it is important to act in the best interest of the campaign and the values it represents.

As a result, we are now once again open to new participant(s).

To not paid edited posts would only be done by lazy managers IMO. Every week I edit my posts, usually to correct mistakes or clarify something, once I read them after they are published (and I check them before publishing), which is far from what Saint-loup does. So a responsible manager if he doesn't want to pay for edited posts should check if they are shitpost-like IMO, like the case mentioned above, or responsible post improvements.

I will not go deeper into this as I see that the rest of the opinions expressed are similar to mine.

This is something that we don't have exactly covered by the rules but burst posting sort of covers it. It is done in a way that is very difficult for us to catch since we are obviously going through posts on deadline and I would bet he isn't doing it in the threads which we frequent often, like paid pools and competitions. This also explains why he doesn't write in these threads a lot which was always a bit curious to me since they provide best place for sports discussion whitout spam and he is part of all of them.

This is completely not making any sense at all. I mean what Saint-loup is doing. If a post is edited for typo correction, that is different, but he is editing the post at the late hours to make the posts count for its signature campaign. This kind of posting should be frawn upon not just by the campaign manager but also by the forum moderators, even if not frown upon by the campaign manager. It would be good if a moderator can give him warning and if he continues, temporary ban would be appropriate.

I don't agree with this. Posts can be edited due to good reasons.
Sometimes, I edit my posts to correct typos orgrammatical errors. Sometimes, I edit my posts to add some information that were not available when I created the post.

What Saint-loup is doing is completely different. He posts a few words just to have a reserved post and edit it to make the post longer after days. That's probably done to spread the posts throughout the week and not be accused of burst-posting.

In the past few days, I have noticed Saint-loup's strange posting behavior and in this topic, I would like to bring your attention to that.

In LiveCasino.io signature campaign, each week ends on Sunday, at 7 PM (GMT).
Saint-loup reserves posts during the week with some low-value contents and edit them just before the campaign manager (Trofo) starts to check the posts.


Here are some examples.

Saint-loup made the post on May 1 and you can see the unedited version of the post on ninjastic.space.
All he wrote was "Yes but it's improving". I captured the first page of Saint-loup's post history on May 4 at around 01:00 PM on Wayback Machine and as you can see the content was still the same. Saint-loup edited the post on Sunday, May 4 at 06:58 PM (three days after the creation time and only two minutes before the campaign cut-off time) to make it longer, so that it will be accepted by the manager.


2. msg65335601:
This post was also made on May 1 and as you can see on ninjastic.space, all Saint-loup wrote first was "yes banktoll management strategies". The post was edited Sunday, May 4 at 7:21 PM.


3. msg65332150:
This post was also made on May 1 and as you can see on ninjastic.space, all Saint-loup wrote was "Gambling is just trying his luck". The post was edited on Sunday, May 4 at 6:12 PM.


4. msg65342941:
This post was made on May 3 and as you can see on ninjastic.space, all Saint-loup wrote first was "It could go above 100k IMO". The post was edited on Sunday, May 4 at 6:30 PM.

Indeed, bitcoin's volatility is a controversial factor. Although bitcoin investors always say that bitcoin is an inflation hedge or a store of value. But in reality, many people disagree with that statement because bitcoin is too volatile, posing risks for short-term holders.
