Hey guys, good news, we are continuing our Snooker Bonanza promo with Saudi Arabia Masters.
It is a big event that starts on Friday 08 of August. And after that we will close this promo with Wuhan Open.
There is more Sportsbet tournaments coming up later in the season so we are hoping we will be back at that time with another similar promo.
Tagging all of you who played so you know the news and you can prepare a bit if you wish. I know I am doing my research and playing a heaps of tickets

Maybe I share some in the meantime. There will be another tag when questions become live few days before tournament starts.

I went with China. I think they have much higher chance of winning the most gold medals.
Till now, China has won 12 gold medals and United States has won only 3.
Yeah when it comes to gold medal between countries its always either China or USA so basically its kinda 50-50. These two countries dont play around when they participate in this type of thing so yeah based on that, its clear that either we take China that already have significant lead or USA that will probably dominate in the upcoming event
@renato : we got 6 different answers and 4 of them are on wednesday and thursday so yeah this would most likely be a very short round between us

I have no idea how to do that.
There are many block explorers that can be used for checking bitcoin transactions.
You can paste any of your bitcoin addresses in
mempool.space or
blockchair.com to see all bitcoin transaction associated with that.
If I knew how to use a block explorer I wouldn't in the tech support forum asking questions in the first place.
They don't exactly come with instructions (but they probably should).
Let me put it very simply for anyone who knows, what does a public key look like?

Than from August 8 we have World Games 2025 in Chengdu, with all sports that are not included in Olympic Games.
Tried to write questions about this, it's kinda impossible

...
I think I am in the wrong place.
Yup. Can't help much more though

It is available and not on page 64 of Google either.

So what if you send say $100 of bitcoin to yourself, then later spend $20 from that same UTXO
(also to yourself) within the same wallet. Is your public key exposed?
Yes.
Is there any way to guard your coins against potential quantum threats after the public key is exposed?
Other than using Coinjoin?
6. Post 65634651 (unedited backup) (by headingnorth) (scraped on Tue Jul 29 11:42:01 CEST 2025) in How can you check if any of your public addresses has been exposed?:
If that is true then what good does it do to not re-use addresses? This is confusing.
When you reuse an address, people can link your transactions with each other and that's why it may violate your privacy.
Assume that I want to sell something to you and give you my bitcoin address. If I use that address in the future for other transactions, you can know that those transactions are mine.
Yes, that is my understanding.
Everyone says you can protect your bitcoin from quantum hacking by not revealing your public address.
You are confusing address with public key.
Your address is revealed once you receive a bitcoin transaction and your public key is revealed once you make a transaction.
Yeah I got them mixed up.
So what if you send $100 of bitcoin to yourself, then later spend $20 from that same UTXO
(also to yourself) within the same wallet. Is your public key exposed?
(A couple of years ago I created a couple of hidden wallets for security purposes. So I was sending a bunch of
UTXOs from my main (parent) wallet to the new hidden wallets. In case you're wondering the reason for all
the self sending transactions.)
I have no idea how to do that.
There are many block explorers that can be used for checking bitcoin transactions.
You can paste any of your bitcoin addresses in
mempool.space or
blockchair.com to see all bitcoin transaction associated with that.
I know I can use block explorer, I don't know how. I was just wondering if there was a simpler
way to do it without having to learn to use block explorer.

So is there a way to check if any of your public addresses have been exposed
I am not sure I am understanding you correctly.
All bitcoin transactions are recorded in the blockchain and are visible to the public. So, once you receive a transaction, anyone in the world can see your address and your transaction. If that is true then what good does it do to not re-use addresses? This is confusing.
Everyone says you can protect your bitcoin from quantum hacking by not revealing your public address.
So to do that, don't re-use addresses and don;t spend from the same address more than once.
So what is the point of taking all these security measures if everything you do is exposed anyway?
so is there a way to check for that in the transaction history?
You can easily use any block explorer to see whether an address has been reused or not.
I have no idea how to do that.
8. Post 65634412 (unedited backup) (by buwaytress) (scraped on Tue Jul 29 10:14:31 CEST 2025) in 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀:
Sportsbet users talking about Bitcoin, what? Haha.
Anyway, just dropping in on the sub1 sat/byte convo between Pmalek/slaman29/hosemary. Could be wrong but thought since I see nodes and clients being mentioned -- it's probably technical and non-critical and maybe not even a distinction these days but... if you're running a node (which means you yourself validate), you would definitely need to update the rules of your node to ensure you see all these newly "allowed" txs.
However, if you're only running a wallet client, then you need to ensure the node(s) you're connecting to for blockchain information reflect(s) the newly allowed rules. No need for a software update.
Something tells me Sportsbet does not run a node for its platform's wallet and/or payment processor... so their payment processor's node(s) are the ones who would need to update or if SB can do it from their client, then they only need to make sure they're connecting to nodes that reflect the <1 sat rules.
9. Post 65634153 (unedited backup) (by slaman29) (scraped on Tue Jul 29 08:28:49 CEST 2025) in 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀:
The fact that you can now sign a <1sat tx, so if your tx is accepted into the network, all clients see it because miners(nodes) allowed it. It doesn't matter anything once your tx is accepted.
No. Pmalek is right.
If you broadcast your transaction and that's accepted by a node, it doesn't necessarily mean that your transaction is accepted by other nodes too.
Each node can have its own standard rules and it's possbile that one node has your transaction in its mempool while another node doesn't.
OK I think I got it too, thanks for explanation as well as Pmalek

but I always thought node was actually running the Bitcoin software as part of the network (validating txs) and I thought Wallet users like for sure Sportsbet is, is only a client (light client or whatever you want to call it).
Thanks guys.
10. Post 65630420 (unedited backup) (by Pmalek) (scraped on Mon Jul 28 09:19:37 CEST 2025) in 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀:
Most probably, Trezor Suite's node rejected your transaction due to their policy rules and didn't display the transaction because they didn't have it in their mempool at all.
Once the transaction was confirmed and it was included in the blockchain, Trezor Suite saw your transaction and displayed it.
I don't know if Sportsbet.io's node put transactions paying less than 1 sat/vbyte as fee in their mempool, but even if their node doesn't accept such transactions, like Trezor Suite, they should see your transaction once it gets confirmed.
Here is the thing. Sportsbet accepts 0-confirmation transactions, which means that your incoming BTC transaction is credited to your account even before it gets confirmed on the blockchain. But if their node doesn't recognize and see below 1 sat-vByte transactions until they are confirmed, players can't take advantage of this feature and have their accounts credited immediately. That's why I feel it's important to know this. I wouldn't play around with it on Sportsbet, risking not being able to submit my bet in time before the start of the match I want to bet on.

If you visit freebitco's thread, you will see that there are many other people complaining about pending withdrawals.
either their withdrawal system is a bunch of spaghetti code, which is why it's broken all the time, or whenever their hot wallet run out of coins, they have to wait for whoever controls thier funds to refill it, and i assume that person is not available that often.
or maybe they hit a fund crunch and need to wait for enough deposits from users to cover pending withdrawals (i'm just speculating).
There was already a discussion about many complaints regarding the withdrawal issue on freebitco. As far as I remember, users with enabled 2FA managed to withdraw coins, and the conclusion is that their email verification has certain shortcomings, and that is where the problem comes from.
I haven't received a promotional email from them in a while, so I'm just assuming their email service is down again.

The first thing I thought was that I might have made a transfer to some other wallet, but I went through all my records, checked everything I could, and everything indicates that there was no mistake.
Does this mean you checked if you have other electrum wallets and checked their addresses if there were any?
If I were in your situation and had access to the device I used in 2022, I would go to directory of electrum and check all my wallets one by one to see if I can find my addresses.
Yes, I checked everything that was there, but unfortunately the operating system on the device was changing.

18. Post 65624981 (unedited backup) (by wanderer888) (scraped on Sat Jul 26 16:47:19 CEST 2025) in Restoring a BTC address:
If you don't see the addresses you are looking for in electrum, either you entered a wrong seed phrase or selected a wrong script type in electrum when importing your wallet.
Go to exodus, export your seed phrase again and see if that's same as the seed phrase you imported into electrum.
It matches. I am currently logged in to both Electrum and Exodus. The entire history of the old transactions matches. But neither of them has the required address and the transaction history associated with it. The first thing I thought was that I might have made a transfer to some other wallet, but I went through all my records, checked everything I could, and everything indicates that there was no mistake. When I took this address, it was next to what I had already used. Having played through the scenario in my head, let's say I went to some other wallet and took the address from there to transfer the main funds at that time, without paying attention, is absurd to me.

You are looking for a tool in which you can enter multiple addresses and get the total balance of them? Am I getting you correctly?
If so, you can use the tool created by the forum user,
bitmover.
https://bitcoindata.science/bitcoin-balance-checkYou can also install
electrum and create a watch-only wallet with all your addresses.
Thanks for mentioning my tool.

I created it initially for personal use, then decided to share.
You can just paste all your addresses (or scan the QRCODE) and then they will be all saved locally in your browser. It will also pop up in your browser if you receive new transactions.

The lottery doesn't work at all now, you don't get any tickets, but for some reason the counter keeps spinning to increase the total number of tickets. In my opinion, they just forgot to turn off the script that adds tickets to itself.

There's no point in arguing with you if you think it's fair.
Good luck losing all your money in the lottery.
The last time I deposited into freebitco was more than 3 years ago and I will never make any deposit.
I registered on this forum a long time ago, 6-7 years ago, but there was another account that died, and I read different topics
I am aware of their lottery and also looked at the data on Twitter, but I know that this is just smoke and mirrors and any results are rigged by manually indicating to the User the % chance of winning.

For lottery tickets to be raffled off, they all have to be numbered, each ticket has to be assigned an ID.
They are.
As I said in my previous post, every week they publish the tickets list before the lottery conducted and every user can know their tickets numbers.
After that, the provably fair lottery is conducted and 10 winning tickets are determined randomly.
If you have some basic mathematics knowledge, you can do the calculations by yourself and know the winners even before they are officially announced.
In particular, do you know all your ticket IDs before the draw?
Yes. Every week, they share a text file on twitter and you can see your tickets IDs in that file.
Well, if you believe it, OK.
There's no point in arguing with you if you think it's fair.
Good luck losing all your money in the lottery.

No, it doesn't work that way. They don't raffle off the number of tickets, but when raffling off, they indicate the User ID and their % of winnings. For example, 100 tickets participated in the raffle. User-1 had 99 tickets, and User-2 had only 1 ticket. Accordingly, the ratio is 99% to 1%. The number of tickets doesn't change, but User-1 is manually assigned a value of 0.1% before the raffle, and User-2 is assigned 99.9%, and the number of tickets available, drawn, does not affect at all.
No.
Have you ever read the description of how their lottery is provably fair on their website? Have you ever checked any of the tickets list published on their twiiter? Have you ever verified the winners by yourself?
It seems that you have no idea about how their lottery works.
Every week, they publish the tickets list before the lottery is conducted and they can't decrease the number of your tickets and if they add fake tickets to the pool, they would increase the prize pool.
I understand everything, it's you who don't quite understand how it works. I can draw you a pretty picture too.
For lottery tickets to be raffled off, they all have to be numbered, each ticket has to be assigned an ID.
This is not on this site, so they only raffle off User IDs, since the script won't understand who the tickets belong to.
The fact that you have 100 tickets and another has 100 tickets is all the same to the computer and it won't understand who these 200 tickets belong to.

They can add fake tickets to the pool, but the more tickets they add to the pool, the bigger the prize pool will become.
Let's say there are 10 million real tickets and they add 10 million fake tickets to the pool. The lottery is done and there are 5 real winners and 5 fake winners. Now, they pay to 5 people instead of 10, but those 5 winners are paid twice their real prize due to bigger prize pool.
Any casino will always be in profit and they will find a way to deceive you. There is never honesty in a casino. They can write a post from a fake account once a year, like a real person won, like it was 3-4 years ago and that's it. This fake user disappears after the post, and no one else wins anything, but there is intrigue and real users make a deposit against this background.

Their lottery is provably fair and the winners are determined randomly through some mathematical calculations.
Every time they announce the winners, you can easily download the tickets list from their twitter post and verify the winning lottery tickets, if you have some basic mathematics knowledge.
I wrote above that it is very easy to do so that a fake ID User wins the lottery. You just manually wind up 1 billion tickets for him, for example, or a 99,9% chance of winning. No one can determine this, you need to be the administrator of this site.

I think it's just referring to the hourly free roll which if you use enough times during the time left shown above will reward you with golden tickets, see the banner above the timer for details.
Right. That message has nothing to do with WOF spins. The "Play now" in that message means "Play the free roll now". That's not "Play WOF".
You will receive 1 golden tickets, if you play the free roll 10 times during the 48 hour period, 4 golden tickets if you play the free roll 20 times and 9 golden tickets if you play the free roll 30 times.
Got it but even in that case the button seems to be not working on my browser.
Ideally the button should have scrolled me to the roll now component but that didn't happen.
May be its something with my browser but anyway, did anyone try this out ?
Are you guys still interested in the golden tickets ?

28. Post 65615501 (unedited backup) (by Forsyth Jones) (scraped on Wed Jul 23 23:56:43 CEST 2025) in Recovery from extended seed without Electrum AND address generation-cold wallet:
So it's clear that the PSBT contains the necessary instructions for the master private key (in offline Electrum) where to derive the key (witch the index number is).
The cryptography is impressive!
Fun fact: To complement Hosemary's answer, if you need Electrum to scan the balance of a change address outside the default gap_limit, you can use this command to ask Electrum to increase the gap_limit for change by the number you specify, for example, 30.
wallet.gap_limit_for_change = 30
Fun fact 2: In addition to Electrum and Bluewallet (which can restore Electrum seeds and passphrases), there is another way to restore access to the private keys of a native Electrum wallet. See this post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5265935.0For some reason, Electrum no longer allows me to take a screenshot of its interface within the wallet; it would show the result of increasing the gap_limit for change addresses.
I'm on version 4.6.0
